Terms and Conditions: General Usage, Privacy, Course Access, and Liability

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our website, attending live webinars, scheduling our services, or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the website, attend webinars, or purchase our services, courses, or products.

  

2. Course and Webinar Access

  • Course Access: When you purchase a course, live webinar, or mentoring session, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the materials for personal use only. Sharing login credentials or course materials with others is prohibited.
  • Webinar Conduct: During live webinars, respectful behavior is required. We reserve the right to remove participants who disrupt sessions without refund.
  • Mentoring Sessions: Live and recorded mentoring sessions are intended for educational purposes and are not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or legal advice.

  

3. Working with Children and Adults

  • If you are purchasing or enrolling a child in any course, mentoring, or webinar, you affirm that you are their parent or legal guardian, or that you have obtained proper consent.
  • While we aim to provide supportive and educational content, our services are not intended to diagnose or treat any mental health or medical conditions in children or adults.
  • Parents or guardians must supervise children’s use of all content and services.

  

4. Limitation of Liability

  • Educational Purposes Only: The content provided in our courses, webinars, and mentoring sessions is for educational and informational purposes. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or financial advice.
  • Mental Health Disclaimer: Our services are not intended for diagnosing or treating mental health or medical conditions. If you or your child has a pre-existing mental health condition or other serious medical concerns, consult a licensed professional before using our products or services. We are not responsible for any adverse effects arising from your use of our materials.
  • General Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website, courses, webinars, or mentoring sessions.

While our webinars, courses, products, and mentoring sessions are designed to educate and inspire, we cannot guarantee specific results, such as improved academic performance, career success, or personal development, as there are many factors outside of our control that influence the outcomes. Success depends on individual effort and circumstances.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of North Carolina. Any disputes will be resolved under these laws.

Payment and Refund Policy

Effective Date: August 1, 2023

At The Coakley Center for Mentoring, we strive to deliver high-quality educational and mentoring services. Please review our payment and refund policy below to understand your rights and responsibilities.

1. Payment Terms

  • Payment must be made in full at the time of purchase to secure access to courses, webinars, or mentoring sessions.
  • Accepted payment methods include major credit cards and PayPal.
  • Purchase Orders: For agreements or contracts with organizations, we accept purchase orders as a form of payment. The terms of the purchase order must be agreed upon in advance, and payment must be made within the agreed timeframe specified in the contract.
  • Custom Agreements: For bulk purchases, corporate training, or institutional programs, please contact us at info@TheCoakleyCenter.com to discuss customized payment terms.

2. Refund Policy

We are committed to customer satisfaction. Refunds are available under the following conditions:

A. Courses (Digital and On-Demand):

  • Refunds may be requested within 14 days of purchase, provided:
    • Less than 20% of the course content has been accessed or completed.
    • A valid reason for the refund is provided, such as dissatisfaction with the content before significant usage.

B. Live Webinars:

  • Refunds are available only if cancellation occurs at least 24 hours before the scheduled event.
  • Missed webinars will not be refunded.

C. Mentoring Sessions:

  • Refunds are available for mentoring packages within 14 days of purchase if no more than one session has been completed.
  • Individual sessions are non-refundable once attended.

D. Other Digital Products or Services:

  • Refunds for digital downloads or other non-service-based products are not permitted once the product has been downloaded or accessed.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

  • Completion of more than 20% of a course or mentoring program.
  • Dissatisfaction with services after significant use of the product or service.
  • Failure to attend live sessions or webinars without prior cancellation.
  • Refund requests made after the stated refund period of 14 days.

4. Terms for Returns

Although our offerings are primarily digital, if any physical materials (e.g., workbooks or guides) are provided, returns are accepted under the following terms:

  • The return request must be initiated within 14 days of receipt.
  • The item must be in its original, unused, and undamaged condition.
  • Damaged or incorrect items must be reported within 7 days of receipt.

5. Process for Refunds

To initiate a refund:

  1. Contact us at info@TheCoakleyCenter.com with your purchase details (order number, product/service purchased, and date).
  2. For courses or mentoring sessions, include information on the progress completed (if applicable).
  3. For physical products, provide photos of the item(s) if damaged or incorrect.

Refund Processing Time:

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
  • You will receive a confirmation email once the refund is issued.
